Haywards Heath Dementia Action Alliance

The Alliance is formed of local residents and professionals whose aim is to raise awareness of dementia, provide information and help people with dementia feel part of the wider community. In January 2019, Haywards Heath achieved Dementia Friendly Community status.
Steering Group members meet regularly to plan activity that helps to further build ‘dementia friendly’ communities. A ‘dementia friendly’ community may be a town, village or a city where people with dementia and those who care for them, are understood, respected and supported.
Alliance members can also provide free Dementia Friends awareness sessions to any organisation, at a venue of their choice.
